Open homes and private viewings of properties for sale and rent can take place during Alert Level 2, providing they can occur safely. The safety of our clients and staff is paramount, so we have a thorough safety plan in place to ensure these run smoothly and adhere to the Ministry of Health and Real Estate Institute of New Zealand (REINZ), guidelines.
If you are planning on attending an open home or property viewing in the coming weeks, please take note of the following steps and procedures to keep all attendees and Property Brokers staff safe.
Registration: All people entering the property must complete the open home/rental viewing register for contract tracing purposes, so that we can contact you if required.
Limited numbers: Only 10 people are allowed in the property at any one time, therefore there may be staggered access into the property. When inside the property, please always maintain a 2-meter distance from other people.
Physical Distancing / Queue Management: When waiting to enter the property, please ensure that you always maintain a 2-meter distance from others. To help with this, there may be markers/cones on the ground to indicate where to stand. If not, please use your common sense and be patient.
Contactless viewings: As open homes and viewings must be contactless, attendees must not open doors/cupboards etc and the only person who can do so is the sales consultant or property manager on site.
Hygiene: Hands must be sanitised when entering and exiting the property and shoes must be removed.
If you are feeling unwell, are self-isolating or have been in contact with a confirmed or probable case of COVID-19, you must not attend an open home or viewing. Those who are also considered high risk should avoid attending open homes and viewings if possible and should arrange a virtual tour or private viewing with the sales consultant or property manager instead.
