Real Estate Agents Act 2008
The Real Estate Authority (REA)
The REA is the independent Government agency that regulates the New Zealand real estate industry.
The REAA promotes high standards of service and professionalism in the real estate industry, provides information and guidance for buyers and sellers, and deals with complaints about agents’ behaviour.
Prospective client, clients or customers should be aware that they may access the Real Estate Agents Authority complaints process without first using the in-house complaints procedure, and that any use of the in-house complaints procedure does not preclude their making a complaint directly to the Authority.
