About Valerie
Originally from Dublin and hailing from a typical Irish family of seven, Val has had a varied career from being an Air hostess in London and Paris, modelling and even a stint as a Weather Anchor for TVB Pearl in Hong Kong.
Her first taste of real estate was in Hong Kong where she did Property Management and discovered she had a passion for real estate. Val moved to Queenstown, New Zealand 18 years ago and met her partner Craig who is from the West Coast, and she followed her passion into real estate there.
The West Coast of the South Island was not where Val initially wanted to be, but Craig talked her into moving to Charleston for the relaxed lifestyle and she absolutely fell in love with living by the sea and being able to walk on the beach every day. Val is well known in the Charleston community and can be seen attending local events.
Together, Val and Craig have two grown daughters, one teenage son and an awesome grandson. Val loves meeting and feeding people and being busy, which naturally led her into owning and operating Westwood Beach Cottage, which is a cosy cottage accommodation sitting on the beach front at Charleston.
