About Nicky

Nicola ("Nicky") Pratt has been the Property Manager for the Te Awamutu/Cambridge area since September 2021. Her area now includes Otorohanga and the rural areas surrounding Te Awamutu. Nicky originally came from a farming district near Te Awamutu but moved into town aged eight and has lived there ever since. She loves being a representative for Property Brokers in Te Awamutu and prides herself on being a source of good local knowledge. "I believe in establishing good relationships with owners and tenants alike as you can't have one without the other". Nicky is dedicated to finding the best tenants to suit a particular property and growing her rental portfolio. She has also put together a group of preferred local contractors who have never let her down. About Property Brokers, Nicky says, "I love working for Property Brokers; the support and training from the day I began is fantastic. Our team in Te Awamutu are a brilliant bunch of people, so coming to work is always great, especially when it's in my hometown. Also, no day or week is the same, making things very interesting!" Most importantly, the contact with people and being able to help give Nicky the greatest satisfaction.Nicky qualified as a lawyer, having attended the University of Waikato and practicing in general practice for four years before working for many years in the tertiary education sector for Te Wānanga o Aotearoa as a Solicitor in its Property and HR Departments. She also spent three years working as a Property Manager in Cambridge, part-time. Nicky's interests are walking, reading, gardening, history, travelling, going to shows (when there is no pandemic!), music, antiques, and anything else that takes her fancy. Nicky lives in a century-plus house that she has decorated and kept in character with its era. She is married and has a fur baby, Mr Fozzy, which she adores.
