About Mel
I was born in Clyde, and grew up in Alexandra. I spent a bit of time in Christchurch, Australia and Dunedin, completing Office Administration at Otago Polytechnic. Moving back to Alexandra and working as a receptionist for a building company. Eventually I decided to train as an Early Childhood Teacher and have done this for the past 17 years.
I met my partner Jason in 2008 and we have lived in Alexandra, Glenavy and Twizel together. Jason works on a run-off block/dairy farm in Duntroon and we have four children who all attend Duntroon Primary School. Up until recently I was working at Waitaki Valley Preschool in Kurow, and currently doing some work at the Otematata District Club.
The Waitaki District is full of wonderful people, places and events. In all of my past and present roles I have received a great sense of accomplishment in helping people however big or small their requests. I am reliable, trustworthy and strive to provide excellent communication and service to everyone I deal with.
