About Chris
Christine Maynard has called the Bay of Plenty home for the past 18 years, with Whakatane being where she truly thrives. Having worked in real estate since 2018, she proudly claims that moving to this coastal town has been one of her best decisions yet.
Before settling in Whakatane, Christine’s diverse career took her through Central Otago and Australia, where she worked in hospitality and tourism. She’s also owned a restaurant and played a key role in managing a vineyard and winery in Central Otago. In 2018, Christine made a bold leap into real estate and found her calling in Property Management. She has been a valued member of the Property Brokers Whakatane Property Management team for over five years, where she now serves as the Property Management Team Leader.
In 2024, she achieved her NZQA Level 4 Certificate in Residential Property Management.Christine shares, "I love the Whakatane team. It’s an incredible environment where everyone, from top to bottom, supports one another and brings out the best in you."
Outside of her professional life, Christine enjoys immersing herself in the natural beauty of the region. Whether she’s trout fishing on the tranquil local lakes or hiking through the surrounding bush, she’s always in her element. Christine is also an active participant in local events like the Spirited Woman and Wander Woman adventure races, as well as the Tois Challenge, which she’s completed four times.
While love, health, and life itself are her greatest rewards, ocean fishing and exploring the stunning region she calls home run a close second.
