About Brett

After a very successful career in rural banking, Brett has established himself as a leader in the marketing and sale of rural property in Southland and Otago. In real estate since 1999, Brett's referral network and his relationship with rural professionals and clients alike is second to non. With a very wide and in depth knowledge of the greater Southland and Otago provinces Brett prides himself on providing down to earth honest advice to clients and takes a long-term view with his client relationships. He has been working with many of the same client families for over two decades. As Otago/Southland Rural Area Manager, Brett has responsibility of managing the Property Brokers Rural Team including sales activity, recruitment, training and best practice. He is actively involved in the sale of rural properties across the Otago/Southland region. Away from work Brett has had numerous farm and business directorships over many years and is a keen golfer. He also enjoys watching his three adult children in their sporting and social endeavors. He lives on a smallholding just out of Invercargill with his wife Narie. Brett has an Agricultural Science Hons 1 degree from Lincoln University, a National Diploma in Real Estate and is an associate member of the Real Estate Institute AREINZ.

I first met and dealt with Brett and his team in March 2020 when the Native Forest Restoration Trust was purchasing the 80 ha Oreti Totara Dunes block in Otatara. We found Brett to be effective and professional to deal with. Subsequently, we chose Brett to market the 7 residential lots in the small subdivision NFRT has developed along the Oreti Rd frontage. These sales are important to help fund the purchase and restoration of a very important ecological area. He was big on teamwork, local support and wider networking. We are very pleased with the outcome after giving Brett exclusive marketing rights for our subdivision. All seven available lots have been contracted at fair prices before any titles became available - several to local residents and some to buyers from further afield.
