RFS Fire & Building Compliance, formerly known as Richdale Fire & Security, underwent a remarkable transformation under the leadership of the Bartley Group head, Rob Bartley. The business was purchased from Phillips Electrical in March 2017 and rebranded as RFS Fire & Building Compliance. Mark Wilburn, who has an impressive background in the fire industry, was brought in as the General Manager.
Wilburn shared his extensive experience, saying, "I spent 17 years in the fire service, the first ten as a volunteer and then seven as a paid firefighter. I left in 1997 and started working in the fire protection side of the industry, serving with renowned companies such as Wormalds and Total Fire." His expertise extended to his role as the national service manager for AFS Total, where he managed a team of 42 employees spanning from Auckland to Christchurch.
RFS Fire & Building Compliance takes pride in its team of long-serving members, collectively bringing decades of experience and a commitment to excellence. This dedication has been pivotal in upholding RFS's tradition of delivering top-tier compliance services.

Additionally, they specialize in fire extinguishers, testing, and training in fire extinguisher use. As Mr. Wilburn noted, "We do trial evacuation schemes and training for fire wardens. Changes in legislation have had a massive impact on building owners' responsibilities. We are here to save them the hassle of doing that all themselves."
